Guy obtained a law degree with great distinction from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in 2000, and a Master's degree from the University of Kent at Canterbury, England (LL.M. in International Commercial Law).
As a lawyer in various international and Belgian law firms, he immediately specialised in company and commercial law. A member of the Commercial Law Committee of the Brussels Bar, Guy also practises insolvency law (Certificat universitaire pour mandataire de crise, Facultés universitaires de Mons, 2010) and holds another certificate in banking and finance law (Université Catholique de Louvain, 2013).
A keen skier, wine lover and lover of the great outdoors, Guy is a fulfilled family man. He lives his hobbies in the same way that he invests in the files and development of the firm: with passion!
He assists and advises his Belgian and international clients on the takeover of companies (or assets), the restructuring of groups of companies, fund-raising from investors and financing from credit institutions. He is regularly called upon to manage complex litigation and arbitration in business law (directors' liability, disputes between partners, breach of contract, etc.), and to negotiate amicable solutions. His experience has enabled him to acquire in-depth expertise in the IT and new technologies sector. His preferred areas of practice also include the law governing international associations.
An entrepreneur at heart, he quickly understands the challenges faced by the business leaders who consult him. Regarded by the Legal 500 EMEA as "very precise and business-friendly", he provides, as far as possible, a practical solution to the situations encountered by his clients, without neglecting the personal aspects.
